Circle continues its reorganization with the arrival of a DGA

20 March 2024

Circle Strategy continues its reorganization journey with the appointment of Bertrand Grau as Deputy Managing Director.

Bertrand Grau was part of the partner team who launched KPMG’s Global Strategy Group (GSG) in Paris back in 2019, where he led the Digital practice and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. “His extensive expertise, highly regarded by both clients and consultants alike, complements our revamped leadership team under my stewardship over the past year. In particular, Bertrand will assist me in orchestrating our forthcoming acquisitions and spearheading the expansion of our partnerships across France and Europe,” highlighted Jean-Marc Liduena, the Managing Director and himself a former member of the GSG team.

With over 25 years of experience in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, Bertrand Grau assumes the pivotal role of the firm’s first TMT/Digital partner, boasting cross-functional proficiency in CSR, a facet that Circle Strategy undoubtedly aims to bolster with his arrival. “This young and entrepreneurial firm, with its innovative and pragmatic approach, harbors significant ambitions, which truly resonated with me. My mandate also includes contributing to the refinement of the firm’s business model as we pursue both organic and external growth avenues. Through forthcoming acquisitions, we aim to enrich our existing domains,” affirmed the new Deputy Managing Director to Consultor.

Indeed, as a subsidiary of Square Management, a lofty goal is set: to quintuple revenue, surpassing €60 million by 2027 (equating to 20% of Square Management’s revenues). This trajectory entails ramping up our workforce from fifty consultants to 300, spanning across France and five European countries earmarked for expansion. “We are imminently announcing internal promotions and actively recruiting consultants across all seniority levels. Additionally, we will soon unveil changes within our advisory board, aligning it more closely with our burgeoning growth agenda,” Bertrand Grau further elaborated.

The primary growth drivers entail organic development, international ventures, and a surge in acquisitions.

A graduate of Grenoble INP (1996) and ESCP (1997), 50-year-old Bertrand Grau embarked on his career as an engineer at Sagem Group in Australia. Subsequently, he transitioned to strategy consulting, specializing in telecommunications at Analysys Mason, where he progressed to the rank of senior manager over an eleven-year tenure. From 2012 to 2016, Grau served as Principal at Arthur D. Little, followed by a stint at Monitor Deloitte until 2019, culminating in his promotion to TMT and Digital partner.
